Cosmic Muffin, a boat that was once an airplane

As strange as it may sound, the ‘Cosmic Muffin’ is a boat made out of a rare and historic aircraft - the Boeing 307 Stratoliner dating back to 1939. The 307 was the first commercial pressurized aircraft and only ten 307s were built in the late-1930’s. Production of the aircraft was abruptly stopped when war broke out in Europe.
The airplane was originally bought by industrialist and aviation pioneer Howard Hughes in 1939 as part of his purchase of Trans World Airlines (TWA). After that, the airplane changed hands numerous time. At one point during 1963 or 1964, the then owner, aircraft broker Joseph MacCaughtry took a $40,000 loan out to fix it, then defaulted, after which the bank removed everything of value from the plane including the engines. From then until 1969 it was left derelict, abandoned, open, and unlocked.

Later that year the airplane was declared abandoned property and put up for auction. Ken London, a private pilot, came in with the winning bid - a mere $62. It was Ken who turned the airplane into a motoryacht after removing the wings.
The airplane, now a boat, was again sold off and after changing owners a couple of times more, it was finally bought by David Drimmer in 1981, who is the current owner of the boat.

Baume & Mercier William Baume Flying Tourbillon
Baume & Mercier, a world class watchmaker has released an elegant timepiece as part of the brand’s William Baume Collection - The Flying Tourbillon. Dubbed as one of the most pleasing models around for it has the most technically challenging of all watchmaking facets. It’s housed in a 43mm 18K rose gold case, shielded by a scratch-resistant sapphire at both sides. This watch is powered by an in-house made manual-winding WB-T 002 movement that provides the flying tourbillon, small seconds, central hours and minutes, that has a power reserve of 52 hours. The timepiece is water resistant by upto 30 meters and is finished with an elegant black alligator strap. Limited to 10 editions worldwide. $75,000.

Porsche Design P’6780 Watch
Porsche, the automative luxury company has released its 2nd diving watch this year which they call the Design P’6780 Watch.This brand-new timepiece has a staggering water resistance rating of 1000 meters. It can be easily distinguished for it has an exclusive and extremely intricate design of its three-part 48mm stainless steel case, that allows the watch to be lifted to reset the time. It has a black dial that features oversized numeric and baton indices treated with a luminous compound for you to see time even in the dark or at night. It relies on a mechanical self-winding movement - ETA 2892-A2 calibre and is mounted on a caoutchouc strap, fitted with a folding clasp that is equipped with a special diving extension system, so that the owner can wear it over a diving suit.
